About

Mission

Through all genres of the fine, visual, and performing arts, the mission of Arts Incarnate is to seek and experience Beauty, Truth, and Justice through the Arts.

History

Formerly known as the 292 N. Gallery, Arts Incarnate was developed out of a desire that The Church of the Incarnation had to connect its people to art and bring art into the church building. It is the church's belief that the long history of art in the church rests on one basic value: the church needs art (and artists) and artists need the church. We recognize that art does not have to be overtly religious to draw us closer to God. Drawing ourselves in, exposing ourselves, or simply sitting with art that expresses beauty, truth, and justice inherently brings us closer to our Creator.

Affiliates

Arts Incarnate is supported and funded in part by The Church of the Incarnation. The mission of The Church of the Incarnation is to see our city flourish: "for the glory of God and for the good of the City".

Cafe Veritas is our sister non-profit

Cafe Veritas exists to engage, inspire, question, and enlarge our view of true life together by exploring tough questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life. Through lectures, interactive workshops, film discussions, and artistic performances, we seek to foster honest dialogue and thoughtful commentary that is characterized by excellence, humility, and grace.

Veritas is Latin for "truth."
