Arts Incarnate

Who we are

About & contact

Arts Incarnate is deeply committed to being a gallery and venue for the people of Harrisonburg and the Shenandoah Valley. Our events are distinguished by their community orientation, public accessibility, and artist support. To help us reach the most people possible, we have intentionally sought to keep ticket prices low or free so that anyone in our community can access the art exhibited in our space. This has let us create an environment that can foster cross-cultural and cross-generational connections, bringing in people of many different backgrounds. This has been possible because we operate out of a space that we as a program have not had to pay for, largely thanks to the generosity of the Church of The Incarnation. We do not take this blessing for granted, and with this blessing we have been able to give far more to our audiences and artists than would otherwise be possible. We believe that those who feel called to create should be able to afford to do so, and this is why artist support is a large portion of our mission. We aim to give artists 90% to 100% of the door at ticketed events, and we don’t charge a commission on art sold in our galleries. We have a large team of lovely volunteers who help us run each of our events. We couldn't do it without them. If you are interested in supporting Arts Incarnate as a volunteer, please don't hesitate to reach out!
